KATHY IRELAND HOME BY MARTIN EXPERIENCING DELAYED SHIPMENTS DUE TO AUGUST FIRE
April 29, 2008- San Diego, CA- Kathy Ireland Home by Martin (KIHBM) experienced a fire in their manufacturing facility in Mexico
at the beginning of August 2007. As a result of the fire, KIHBM anticipates some shipment delays will persist through the end of
the year. The current lead time for shipments to retail stores is: 2-4 weeks.**
The shipment of finished goods to retail stores depends upon when these goods are transported from KIHBM's manufacturing facility in
Mexico to their warehouse in San Diego, Ca.
Because there is no way to tell which finished goods are allocated to specific customers until they arrive to the United States.,
estimated lead times may vary. Customers are advised to contact their local furniture retailer for a more specific lead time.

While the fire destroyed KIHBM's assembly and finishing facility, the milling facility was saved. Rather
than rebuild, KIHBM decided to move into a new, larger manufacturing facility in Mexico.
Production in the new factory began
mid-September and output is increasing daily. The new facility has allowed KIHBM to make several improvements including new and
larger equipment, more quality assurance points and staging areas to improve efficiency and consistency of the finishing process.
Once the move is complete, the new 140,000 square foot facility will allow production to be more proficient than ever.
