KATHY IRELAND HOME BY MARTIN ESTABLISHES COMPANY WELLNESS PROGRAM

San Diego, CA- December 13, 2007- Kathy Ireland HomeŽ by Martin (KIHBM), established a corporate wellness program that will begin with an eight-week physical challenge at the start of the new year. The eight-week physical challenge, designed by local fitness celebrity and personal trainer Jake Glaze, will teach participants how to eat well and exercise effectively. The goal of the wellness program is to help KIHBM employees adopt a healthy lifestyle by providing complimentary resources like personal training and nutrition education.

"I believe companies have an obligation to their employees that extends beyond a fair wage and comfortable work environment," said President and Owner of KIHBM, Gil Martin. "Our wellness program incorporates a physical challenge and nutritional training. We encourage our coworkers to make healthy choices and practice health-promoting activities like eating well and exercising." The eight-week boot camp is scheduled to begin January 3, 2007 and will entail two free-of-charge training sessions per week with Glaze.

The program is based on a points system wherein employees will earn points for adopting and implementing healthy behaviors in to their daily lives. Points will also be earned for losing body fat, increasing muscle, eating well and encouraging fellow coworkers to do the same.

At the end of the eight-week challenge, the top five employees with the most points will win either a flat screen television, an additional week of vacation time in 2008 or an additional day of vacation time in 2008. If the pilot eight-week program has high participation and good feedback, KIHBM will include a fitness center in their new corporate headquarters building, scheduled to open in June 2008.

"Participants can except to receive benefits beyond a physically fit body, such as increased energy, a more positive attitude, better posture and overall better health that could include getting sick less," said personal trainer and head of the eight-week challenge Jake Glaze.
