San Diego, California, March 25, 2025 – Martin Furniture is excited to announce the appointment of Nicolas (Nico) Gaviria as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

With more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience across General Management, Corporate Strategy, Business Development, and Operations, Nico brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of driving transformative growth and operational excellence. He has successfully led major initiatives within Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms, and family-owned businesses, delivering outstanding results in business performance, innovation, and team development.

Prior to joining Martin Furniture, Nicolas held progressive leadership roles at BekaertDeslee, most recently serving as Head of Strategy for the Americas Division. In this role, he spearheaded business transformation initiatives resulting in revenue growth, increased market share, and a strong return on investment across the region. His earlier career includes impactful tenures at Shaw Industries and PepsiCo, where he spearheaded initiatives in operational efficiency, digital transformation, and strategic planning. Nicolas also served as a military officer, further enriching his leadership perspective.

Nicolas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the University of Miami and Florida International University. He has further strengthened his leadership capabilities through several Executive Leadership Programs with a focus on organizational development and digital transformation. Nicolas is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt.
